Thorn Cross Young Offenders Institute

I recently spent the morning with 40 inmates and staff Thorn Cross Young Offenders Institution in Warrington, and delivered a Workshop based around Self Reflection, The Importance of Discipline, and Goal Setting.

The group was a mixture of long and short term offenders, with varying offences to their name, and with different levels of maturity.

Delivering a thought provoking and often quite shocking realisation of the struggles that many ex offenders encounter on release, the experience left the individuals with plenty to think about.

Mr Grieve, ROTL's Manager commented, "There is no doubt that the content and delivery of the material really hit home with the lads, and with the cost of keeping an offender inside, ever increasing, workshops like the one delivered by John, not only have an impact on the attendees, but can be measurable on the re-offending rates of the inmates."
